Hello dear people, I will be reviewing the book on the title, Ask Again Later by Ms. Czukas. If you ask me if it was mind blowing, I would say no. I you will ask me if it was ground breaking, its for-sure no. But was it the best fun reading it, hell yes! The story was about a girl named Heart and her prom night. Nothing crazy just your typical who-should-I-go-with issue, will it be the jock who was ditch by his girlfriend before prom or the theater geek who just entrusted her a deep secret.
What's actually cool about this book it that it doesn't need brilliant twist or crazy awesome plot, it was just plain humor and exceptional writing. I mean it's prom, its the the cliche` of all cliche, but the author made it possible for me to love it and savor it to the last pages. I can't count the times when I looked like an idiot laughing.
Anyway, the MC hates her name with a passion. I can relate to that when I was younger for the total opposite reason. My real name is a very old name (It was even mention in the book) and I kind of hated that my parents didn't have the creativity to come up with a cool one. Not anymore now, but our MC hated hers so much she would change it the minute she turns 18. Ok, I get that she hate Heart but what I don't get is why would she replace it with Audrey? or Bridgette or something? I mean if you could be any fruit you want, would you be an apple? NO! I would be something exotic and totally badass! Tsk tsk... but I have to tell you, she is awesomely funny. She gives you the most amazing laughs ever, if your into these things.
And our guy, Chase! (or Shroeder for our MC) He is so brilliant he calls our girl Heart pancreas, spleen, lungs and any other internal organs. Brilliant, right? he is also a very caring person who is just right for our Heart. And he plays the piano, what more could I say?
You might be saying right now "You are all over the place" or "You don't make sense" that is fine. I am thinking the same thing and I am fine with that since that is a good sign. A good sign to what? A good sign that I actually genuinely like this book. It's like I cant get to the point fast enough and I just want to get the words out before they are lost. And if I review a book where I am almost on the right order of things then it a "meeh..." book. A meeh book is when I like a book okay and the words doesn't come out fast which give me more time to think of what I'm actually doing. When I am writing a review where I am really on the right format when reviewing something that is when I don't like that book, that would be me trying to explain and convince you not to waste your precious little time on that book. I will give you every little crappy detail, blow by blow, on why that book needs to be unpublished.
So, Ask Again Later is fantastic. I would rate it an awesome little 8, I would give it a bit more if there was a bit more but I think it is perfect as it is but my rate will be the samea. Awesome read, go read it.
